This Grace of Giving focuses on making God’s love known through good works that lead to life transformations. We do so by meeting people’s urgent needs and partnering with what God is already doing through local churches to help establish sustainable ministries. We also regularly initiate mission trips and outreach in the city for direct impact.

Mission Trips

IMG_6911.JPG

We try to do two trips per month. Each trip starts with a four hour drive into the bush. A typical trip is three days long, with three team members.  Normally a pre-meeting is conducted with the village or community Leader to coordinate approval of activities. This helps to ensure that the team can conduct their activities safely.

Sometimes we start with a soccer tournament. This brings out the youth of the community to play and the adults to watch. After the competition there are prizes given. Followed by an evening showing of The Jesus. This film is special because it tells the story of Jesus in the dialect understood by the village. Sometimes this is the first time people have seen a film and often it is the first time they have heard the story of Jesus.

On Sunday there is a service with opportunities to evangelize, encourage, disciple, train, and assist in the outreach efforts. This is followed by a fellowship by sharing a meal. Clothing, shoes, mosquito nets, food, and water are distributed according to need.

“Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father is this: to care for orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world.” James 1:27

Outreach in the City

Outreach at Fern House

Outreach at Fern House

This Grace of Giving conducts Outreach in the City in three forms.

First, we care for orphans and women in need by supporting a sanctuary called Fern House. They also provide support for women in crisis pregnancies. We provide monthly resources to support ongoing operational needs and food staples. We conduct a Christ-centered children’s program filled with biblical teaching, music, fun and lunch once a month as well. Special project support is provided to the orphanage as needed.

Second, we coordinate the resources needed to acquire medical insurance cards for entire neighborhoods of women. This immeasurably improves the life quality of women and their families. Third, we provide toolsets and equipment to small business owners to begin a business or improve the quality and efficiency of their service. This helps young men make a living in order to support their extended family and improve women’s working conditions.

Our Focus

Apart from these year-round regular services, This Grace of Giving prayerfully initiates focus projects that respond to needs that we observe along the way.

We continue to build a safe house for rescuing child brides and a sanctuary for persecuted Christians from the Northern Ghanaian area. We not only provide food and shelter for them but also emphasize establishing sustainable sources of income to help them find purpose and hope in this new life they find in Christ.
